You might not find
anything joyous about Christmas or this time of year; instead, you can feel
depressed since you lost someone or something important this year.
Additionally, the excess of love and joy could even worsen sadness and gloomy
thoughts.
·
DONATE YOUR TIME TO HUMANITARIAN CAUSES
Around this time, a
number of charities organize events to help the homeless, orphans, and those
who are less fortunate. By volunteering for these events, you can distract
yourself from your own problems by thinking about helping others.
·
GO OUT WITH PALS OR MAKE AN INVITATION TO A
PARTY
Make friends with
as many people as you can from work, school, or your neighborhood if you're in
a new town, country, or city. Inquire about their Christmas plans and extend an
invitation. Make an effort to be seen.
·
ESTABLISH MENTAL SEPARATION FROM YOUR POISONOUS
FAMILY.
You must have a
strong mental attitude if you must spend time with your toxic family and you
don't want their words and deeds to change who you are on the inside.
·
SPEND TIME TALKING ON THE PHONE WITH YOUR
RELATIVES
If your family is
far out, you may always get in touch with them via phone and video
conversations, which will undoubtedly make you feel better.
·
DEMONSTRATE GRATITUDE
There is always
something for which to be thankful. Even if it's just having access to warm
clothing, a roof over your head, and food to eat. At least try to find
something to be thankful for.
