Five methods to prevent gaining weight over the holiday season

You will eat till you are stuffed throughout the holiday season, and while many people have given up on their weight loss endeavors, there are several strategies to make sure you don't overindulge and that you keep to your fitfam objectives.

1. EAT WHOLESOMELY

Stock up on produce like oranges, pineapple, bananas, cabbage, lettuce, and carrots. Vegetables and fruits are wonderful since they are quite filling. Additionally, you may use them to make smoothies and salads.

2. EAT SOMETHING BEFORE LEAVING IF YOU'RE GOING OUT.

People overeat because they are constantly being fed calorie-dense food over the holiday season, regardless of where they are. By eating a good meal before you go out, you can be prepared to decline food offers.

3. EAT LITTLE QUANTITIES OFF A TINY DISH.

Use a tiny plate to limit your portion size so you don't feel overstuffed if you must have jollof rice, plantains, pounded yam, and other foods.

4. AVOID DRINKING CARBONATED BEVERAGES.

There are so many soda substitutes. for example, recently squeezed juice or even yoghurt. Because alcohol has as many calories as soda, keep your consumption to a minimum.

5. GO FOR LONG STROLLS

During the holidays, get up and move around a bit more than you normally would. Drink lots of water and go for a long walk when you feel full and on the verge of constipation.
