Moriah Mills' "YDC": My Story of Love, Betrayal, and Growth

When I released my single "YDC", it wasn’t just another song—it was my truth. Every lyric reflects the emotional whirlwind I’ve been through, and the video serves as a visual diary of my heartbreak, resilience, and journey toward self-expression.

Why I Wrote "YDC"

This song is more than music; it’s my response to a relationship that meant so much to me but left me with questions and hurt. My connection with Zion Williamson was real to me, and when the truth about his other relationship and child came to light, I had to process everything in the most authentic way I know—through my art. "YDC" stands for "You Don’t Care," and it symbolizes how I felt when my emotions were overlooked.

The Making of the Video

The official video is a labor of love, creativity, and vulnerability. It’s bold, it’s dramatic, and it’s unapologetically me. I wanted the visuals to complement the rawness of the lyrics. From the striking outfits to the intense scenes, every detail was chosen to tell my story in the most powerful way possible.

My Journey of Turning Pain Into Power

“YDC” isn’t just a song about heartbreak; it’s about reclaiming my voice. Life’s challenges and disappointments can break you, or they can build you. I chose the latter. Through this song and its video, I’ve found strength and healing while sharing a piece of myself with the world.
